First issue of this paper that was published for just one year. The Oracle of Southern California was inspired by the more famous San Francisco Oracle, publishing work inspired by the psychedelic and hippie trends. This issue, among its declarations, states "Mutate or Dinosaur," and that the "American Indian"  could offer alternatives to the current way of life. Contents include children's poetry, Peter Bergman on the Hopi, the love-in of the Spring Equinox, Los Angeles Be-In, a hymn to acid, etc.
