Johannesburg: Raven Press, 1974. First Edition. 134pp. Hardcover: NEAR FINE. Dust Wrapper: NEAR FINE. Book has a couple of modest bumps, else fine. No marks or inscriptions. Dust Wrapper has minor toning and a slightly sunbathed spine. Very nice copy. The Nobel Prize-winning author's first book, Dusklands is a pair of novellas: "The Vietnam Project," centering on a military specialist working on a strategic report on American propaganda policy for the Vietnam War, and "The Narrative of Jacobus Coetzee," chronicling the journeys of a white explorer into the heart of southern Africa during the eighteenth century. South African author J.M. Coetzee - novelist, essayist, linguist, and translator – has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature as well as the Jerusalem Prize, the Prix Femina Étranger, and the Booker Prize (twice), among many other accolades.
