1970. Isle of Wight Festival. Original unused (VIP) tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday printed on uncoated paper stock. In order to try to generate some additional ticket revenue, a decision was made to offer "VIP" packages at a slightly higher price point. After many VIPs had made the pilgrimage to see Dylan the previous year, and had subsequently been squashed into a reserved area that was far too small for purpose, in 1970 a larger reserved enclosure was built for 1970; these tickets were printed, and responsibility for sales and promotion assigned to Co-Founder Ray Foulke's sister. NEAR FINE. A light smudge on Friday ticket; Sunday's ticket has one small spot, some light wrinkles and the top of the stub slightly detached. 

One of the greatest music festivals in history. The Isle of Wight Festival 1970 was held from August 26-20, 1970 at Afton Down, an area on the western side of the Isle of Wight in England. It was the last of three consecutive music festivals to take place on the island between 1968 and 1970 and often acknowledged as the largest musical event of its time, with a larger attendance than Woodstock. Although estimates vary, Guinness World Records estimated 600,000 to 700,000 people attended. 

A massive lineup headlined by Jimi Hendrix and joined by well-regarded acts the Who, Miles Davis, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Jethro Tull, Sly and the Family Stone, Ten Years After, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Free, Leonard Cohen, Chicago, the Doors, Lighthouse, and the Moody Blues, among others.
