Richard A. Lyon was the first manager of the Matrix and he designed this image using a line drawing by Heinrich Kley. This handbill was used for shows held in April 1967 and featured Janis Joplin and is listed in The Art of Rock as Plate Number 2.109; the date in the book is incorrectly listed as 1966. These are quite scarce and seldom offered for sale.
