This is the official exhibit program for John Lennon's controversial "BAG ONE" art showing of his suite of 14 original lithographs held at the Lee Nordness Gallery in New York that ran from February 7 through February 28, 1970. John Lennon originally created a portfolio of drawings in 1969 as a wedding present to his wife Yoko Ono. These drawings depicted John & Yoko's wedding and intimate portraits from their honeymoon and were named "Bag One". Subsequently, in 1970 Lennon took 14 of his favorite drawings from the Bag One portfolio to be produced as 35.25" x 29" stone lithographs. The prints were in limited editions of 300 each and were to be sold in fine art galleries. Lennon personally signed and numbered each lithograph in pencil. This art show catalog reproduces all 14 of the original line drawings in the 300-set limited edition. The catalog also includes a hand-written page of John's musings on his life, a black & white photo of John and Yoko Ono at the time of the exhibition, and includes an original letter from the gallery describing the catalog and show.
