London: Oz Publications Ink Limited, 1967. NEAR FINE. 30 pp. This issue is in superb condition, the staples are tight with no rust and the magazine is secure. Light internal blemishes to the top of a couple of pages. Cover bright and clean.
This issue includes a six-page article on Bob Dylan, a thick stock pullout, and an article on Malcolm X. The Martin Sharp Cover is almost identical to his most famous poster of the Sixties, Blowing in the Mind, which captures the 60s psychedelic atmosphere, capturing London’s unique style of music, words, color, drugs and youth culture. Oz comprised 48 issues between 1967 and 1973, and was a revolutionary anti-establishment, underground publishing platform that triggered outrage, numerous police raids and the longest obscenity trial in British legal history.
