The Sid Presley Experience was a precursor band to The Godfathers. They were a 1980s British post-punk band, characterized by a raw, guitar-driven sound blending 1960s beat music, 1950s rock, and punk energy. They recorded their debut Hup Two Three Four single vinyl record in 1984 on ID Records which was co-produced by the band with legendary brit soundman Dave Goodman. The followup was a 12" EP released on Sid Presley Experience Records, which included a cover of John Lennon's heroin addiction song "Cold Turkey". A four piece, the band consisted of Peter and Chris Coyne, Del Bartle on guitar, and Kevin Murphy on drums. After The Coyne brothers left to form The Godfathers, Murphy and Bartle formed the Unholy Trinity, who had a 6 song 1985 release called Rise to the Occasion on Communique records.
