Vol. 1, #1. Larkspur: Oracle/Mansur, 1968. Newspaper. 24p., 11.5x15.25 inches, tabloid underground newspaper on newsprint with psychedelic color illustrations, spiritual essays, poetry and information. VERY GOOD, expected handling wear.

First issue of the new series of Oracle newspapers after the original City of San Francisco Oracle ceased publication in 1968. It was more focused on spiritual teachings and teachers, although it also had considerable poetry. Primary piece is an interview with Huston Smith, Professor of Philosophy at MIT as well as Smith's piece on Unique Vocal Abilities of Certain Tibetan Lamas. McClaren centerfold psychedelic poster. Poems by Davenport. The Rejected Avatar by Samuel L. Lewis and very important "The Tree of Humanity" by Gavin Arthur! Arthur was a sexologist, early gay rights activist and Dune commune leader, grandson of President Chester Arthur.
