London: Point / Scholastic Press, 1995-2000. First Edition. Hardcover: FINE. Dust Wrapper: FINE. A three volume set of 'His Dark Materials' comprising 'Northern Lights', 'The Subtle Knife', and 'The Amber Spyglass'. All three books are in FINE condition; Northern Lights has a very minor pushing to the top of the spine and modest toning; The Amber Spy Glass has a very small (1/4”) impression on front board. Each of the dust wrappers is without flaws. A superb set, near perfect. Each of the three books have been Signed on the Title Page, without dedication, and each with a wonderful line written by Philip Pullman above his signature. Included with the set: A booklet of Chapter 8 of The Amber Spy Glass - “The Vodka' Chapter” - Signed by Philip Pullman; A wonderful, fold-out booklet outlining the history and functionality of the Alethiometer, Signed by Philip Pullman; A sticker with the author’s Daemon - a Raven - Signed by Philip Pullman; The National Theatre (NT) His Dark Materials promotional pamphlet; A publisher's promotional postcard for 'The Amber Spyglass'; A Dark Materials bookmark; and a ticket to the 2012 Cheltenham Literature Festival, featuring Philip Pullman. A unique set of accompanying ephemera.

His Dark Materials Trilogy follows the coming of age of the two main characters, Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry, as they wander through a multiverse of parallel universes and move between many alternate worlds. Winner of numerous prizes, Northern Lights, won the Carnegie Medal for children's fiction in the UK in 1995, The Amber Spyglass won the 2001 Whitbread Book of the Year award. Pullman was awarded the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for children's and youth literature in 2005.
