Some of the more interesting items we’ve come across on our collecting journey are sheet music from some of the most iconic songs and albums in rock history. Nowadays, it might seem strange to bust out your latest copy of the sheet music to your favorite band, but in the 60s it was much more common to see people learning their favorite songs on the piano.
True Musical Artifacts
The fact that a lot of this sheet music survived the years – it was often printed on thin, flimsy paper – and is perfectly legible is remarkable in and of itself. It’s incredible to look at the notation of Beatles songs, Hendrix Songs, Elton John songs, and more as if they had just hit the charts.
