Corte Madera, CA: Gingko Press, Inc., 1999. First Edition. Lge. 4to. 240pp. NEAR FINE. SIGNED on the first preliminary page by Winston Smith (who designed the book’s inside front and back covers); James Stark; Christopher Miller; Bryan Ray Turcotte; Robert Dapello; and Penelope Houston. Truly collectable.

Published in 1999, Bryan Turcotte's FUCKED UP + PHOTOCOPIED is a collection of handbills produced for the American punk scene between 1977 and 1985, many of which were created by the musicians themselves. The publication was recognized as the first appreciation of the art, culture and significance of American punk flyers. This collection includes essays and interviews from Punk legends Jello Biafra, Pushead, Mike Watt, Lorna Doom, Tony Alva, Ian Mackaye and Malcolm McLaren and features art from Winston Smith (Dead Kennedys) and Raymond Pettibon (Black Flag). The format is a comprehensive geographic and artist representation: San Francisco, Los Angeles and the Valley, Boston, DC, New York, Slash Magazine, Sonic Youth, the Weirdos, the Germs, The Ramones, Misfits, Necros, D.O.A., as well as other various bands from the period.
