One of the joys of owning a recording studio is bearing witness to the sheer amount of talent that’s out there. We’ve had so many special moments in the studio. Whether we’re producing up-and-coming artists or tracking experienced live bands — it’s a shame every moment wasn’t captured on film. That being said, with our Live At Bynx Records series, we’ve managed to bottle some of this studio magic and share it with the world.
From Local Stages to The Studio
Everyone loves Tiny Desk. I mean, how couldn’t you? It’s such a unique concept and for the past 10-plus years its captivated global audiences with intimate performances from their favorite artists. So we thought we’d do something similar with our own intimate studio space and highlight some of the local acts in Orlando.
Our first-ever Live At Bynx Records featured a local beat/looper musician with a trumpeter and emcee. It was a perfect vibe to start things off. We then ventured into some bossa nova, recorded a young hardcore band, featured a few more acoustic songwriters and more jazz, as well as some more hip hop. As my good friend and Bynx associate Philly would say, “we’re all over the shop.” But for us diversity is paramount. It would get boring recording the same old style of music again and again. Keeping it fresh provides more entertainment for ourselves and viewers.
Talent & Diversity in Central Florida

Live At Bynx Records is a testament to the talent that exists in Orlando and the wider Central Florida area. There’s no dearth of songwriters and world-class musicians. You don’t have to look too hard to find it either. Simply open a copy of Orlando Weekly and check out the city’s events, pop into a local bar, coffee shop or other establishment to see who’s filling the airwaves on any given day.
For now, we’ve taken a short filming break for the Live At Bynx Records series. In the meantime, check out our YouTube and social media pages for the videos and stay up to date with future releases.
