Inaugural issue of this celebrated Punk fanzine by the former editor/publisher of Punk Zine Ripped and Torn, Tony Drayton. The UK punk zine Kill Your Pet Puppy ran for six issues between 1979 and 1984. The first issue went on sale at the New Year’s Eve concert of Adam and the Ants at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. Editor was Tony Drayton, who had previously produced the fanzine Ripped & Torn. Kill Your Pet Puppy embraced the anarcho-punk ideals emerging from the punk rock scene that had become commercialized, discussing politics as well as bands. This issue covers Adam and the Ants and Crass, as well as the use and abuse of the drug Tuinal.
