- Description
1972. 8 1/2" x 11". VERY GOOD.
An amazing and collectible artifact; a letter from The National Commiittee for John and Yoko, which was formed to provide support for their US immigration efforts in the early 1970's. The couple's penchant for activism and vocal anti-war sentiment, combined with Lennon's cannabis arrest in the UK, formed the government's resistance to accepting residency. Of course, they were eventually successfull.
On the left side of the letter is a list of Honorary members, with such notable names including Nina Simone, Jon Voight, John Updike, James Taylor and Norman Mailer.
