A pinback raising awareness of the plight of three prisoners in Soledad who were accused of the murder of a prison guard, John Mills. George Jackson, Fleeta Drumgo and John Clutchette were accused of killing him in response to the killing of three Black inmates by a prison guard several days earlier. The subsequent trial brought attention to the brutal conditions in Soledad prison. Jackson was killed in 1971 while attempting an escape from prison, while the other two were acquitted of charges in 1972.
