The White Panther Party was based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was a far-left anti-racist political party whose agenda including marijuana legalization and the freeing of political prisoners; they supported and took many of their cues from the Black Panther Party. In the words of party founder and manager of the proto-punk band MC5, John Sinclair, "Our program of rock and roll, dope and fucking in the streets is a program of total freedom for everyone." Scarce vintage underground newspaper, of which this issue is the second of only three published.
